Florida looks to try and turn its season around as the Gators host the Central Florida Knights on Saturday in Gainesville for an in-state showdown.
UCF is reeling after a loss to the Colorado Buffaloes last weekend by a score of 48-21. The Knights entered that game as a 13.5-point betting favorite before being blown out on its home turf.
To make things even worse, the team lost one of its best wide receivers in Xavier Townsend, who announced he is going to redshirt and enter the transfer portal. Townsend had four catches for 50 yards and one touchdown in the loss.
The Knights are now stepping out of the Big 12 for a game, and a game against another Florida school could go a long way in
The Gators picked up a much-needed win in their last game against Mississippi State, as they defeated the Bulldogs 45-28. There have been talks of Billy Napier being fired, but he is still the coach as of now, which is all that matters.
