Barring total catastrophe, Florida football coach Billy Napier should keep his job for the rest of the season.
Chances are more than nine people just spit out their coffee. But there are only nine donors listed on the GoFundMe page that’s raising money to “send Billy Napier into early retirement.
The best that can be said is it hasn’t gotten worse in the past week or so, primarily because the Gators haven’t played. They’ll be back at it Saturday against UCF, and the buzzards will again be circling.
Their eagerness is understandable. I was one of the many who said Napier should have been fired after the Texas A&M game.
It’s raised $620 so far, though nothing in the past three weeks. GoFundMe suspended donations due to unspecified issues.
If only it were that easy to suspend the frustration Florida football fans feel toward Napier.
