Breaking News: Stephon Shivers reopens recruitment from the Georgia Bulldogs……

Georgia’s 2025 class is back to 20 commitments as it has parted ways with Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy nose tackle Stephon Shivers. Shivers announced on his X.com account that he had reopened his recruitment from the Dawgs. The 6-foot-4.5, 365-pound prospect originally committed to Georgia on March 22, choosing the Dawgs over Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and 12 other offers.‌

Following his commitment, Shivers would take an official visit to Georgia on June 14. Shivers was also in Atlanta to see Georgia beat Clemson 34-3 in the 2024 season

He was just basically asking me if I feel like I can handle being at Georgia because Georgia’s not some little old college,” Shivers told Dawgs247 recruiting analyst Benjamin Wolk earlier this year. “It’s a big step you have to make for the next level.”

Following the departure of Shivers, Georgia’s group of commitments still comes in at No. 5 in the 247Sports Team Class Rankings. Georgia is heavily involved with a pair of in-state five-star defensive line prospects in Elijah Griffin out of Savannah (Ga.)
