Breaking News: Arkansas Razorbacks pulls out another ugly win against Auburn…

It was hot, it was muggy, and it was sloppy, but it’s still a win.

Arkansas heads out of Jordan-Hare with a victory, 24-14, despite shooting itself in the foot yet again. Luckily, Auburn made one mistake after another this afternoon. The Tigers coughed up the ball five times, fumbling on what would’ve been their longest run of the night and throwing four picks.

The good thing about this game is that it gave the Hogs — with many players experiencing the physicality — a taste of the SEC, and they still came out with a win. This game also hushed Taylon Green’s critics. Malachai Singleton received his moment in the spotlight to the chagrin of Green’s detractors. Singleton, although a very talented player himself, his moment was short-lived, and on the ensuing Arkansas offensive, Green hit Isaiah Sategna for a 58-yard touchdown.

The defense also stepped up after coming out against UAB sleepwalking. They had to have known how important this game was to their defensive coordinator, Travis Williams. They had two sacks, four tackles for loss, and six pass breakups in addition to their five turnovers.

The Hogs will take on the Aggies next week in Arlington, Texas. The game could have significant bowl game implications, with Arkansas running into a hurricane’s worth of AP-ranked teams after it plays Texas A&M
